1. French 75 (gin, sparkling wine, lemon juice, simple syrup):

2. Tom Collins (gin, club soda, lemon juice, simple syrup):
“I’ve been judged hard while in my twenties by a bartender for ordering these. Called me an old man. IDGAF, they are great.”
3. Paloma (tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice/soda):
“Palomas are an A+ drink and easy to make at home!”
4. The Godfather (scotch and amaretto):
“Equal parts amaretto and bourbon/scotch poured directly over ice in a shallow, old-fashioned glass. No bullshit. Tastes magical!
“For those who like their drinks a little sweeter, add cola; it will taste pretty much like an adult Dr Pepper.”
5. Vodka gimlet (vodka, lime juice, simple syrup):
“My nana told me they were her first experience with alcohol and she liked them so much, she slammed eight. Then there was some talk of my papa having to help her with her girdle, and I blocked out the rest.”
6. Trinidad sour (rye whiskey, angostura bitters, orgeat syrup, lemon juice):
“It’s spicy, rich, complex, and very well balanced for containing a shot and a half of bitters. I personally think it’s better equal parts rye and angostura, but I love my rye.”
7. Hemingway daiquiri (rum, grapefruit juice, maraschino liqueur, lime juice, sugar syrup):
“Rum fans, look, a daiquiri will always be firmly my number one rum cocktail … but switch things up with a Hemingway daiquiri for a drier, more tart alternative.”
8. Charlie Chaplin (apricot liqueur, black currant gin, lime juice):
“A Charlie Chaplin will always be one of my go-tos for those who aren’t huge fans of cocktails that you can taste the booze in. If you like French martinis, this might be your new jam.”
9. Dark and stormy (rum, lime juice, ginger beer):
“Gosling’s rum, crucial. Ginger beer and lime wedge.”
10. Caipirinha (cachaça, sugar, lime):
“Unlikely that your local bar will have the cachaça required to make it, but if you can find a bar that does, it’s dangerously smooth. Just cachaça, sugar, and lime shaken and poured over ice. The drink is native to Brazil, and I haven’t had anything quite like it.”
11. Aviation (gin, maraschino liqueur, créme de violette, lemon juice):
“Just don’t try to order this anywhere that isn’t a proper cocktail bar, because créme de violette is somewhat hard to find :). God, it’s just the absolute best cocktail out there, though!”
13. Paper plane (bourbon, Amaro Nonino Quintessentia, Aperol, lemon juice):
“Getting the right amaro is the key here. But a tasty Manhattan-style cocktail for sure.”
14. Pimm’s Cup (Pimm’s No. 1, lemon juice, ginger ale):
“Pimm’s is dangerous in these parts. It’s like, ‘Here, have some Pimm’s,’ and that’s fine ’cause it’s not that strong and it’s mostly chunks of fruit, so you say yes to a top-up, and that’s cool ’cause it’s a child’s christening and the sun is shining. Then for some reason you’re at home in bed with your shoes still on and it’s not even 8 p.m.”
